This toddler friendly Umbrian villa for 12 people is situated on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, 30 minutes from Cortona, the famous Tuscan village and about 5 from Preggio, a wonderful ancient village which offers a couple of restaurants and a small grocery shop. A kilometre of unpaved road in the middle of the woods leads to the gated entrance to the villa. From this point the panorama reveals the beautiful landscape of hills which surrounds this partly fenced property. The villa, immersed in total privacy and silence, was renovated in 2008 by an English family. Adapted to host families, this charming villa is equipped with toys and areas dedicated to the enjoyment of children and teenagers. The long infinity pool (17mts) has a separate shallow area for children. An annex, 4 metres from the villa, has been transformed into a playhouse for children and in the villa the children can find various pastimes such as books, games and English videos. Externally there are comfortable patios and porticoes for the various moments of the day. One patio leading from the kitchen is furnished with a table for 12 and has a pizza oven and barbeque. Another magnificent portico is furnished as an external lounge area and enjoys the best views from the villa. The pool, visible from the portico of the villa, is reached by two different sets of steps. The internal areas of Casa Lazzari are constructed on various levels, organised to divide the living areas into separate rooms which are connected by corridors and steps. A comment about the kitchen is necessary: any cooking lover would be in raptures with the functionality and size, equipped with hotplates, 2 ovens, a large fridge and lots of work space. There is no lack of technology at Casa Lazzari, such as the computer where it is possible to access the internet from many rooms and outdoors via the wireless system, the Ipod players positioned in 4 of the bedrooms and in the kitchen. Also the Sky television and dvd players in the 4 televisions which are in 3 rooms and the cottage. This comfortable Umbrian - Tuscan farmhouse is within easy reach of some of the most famous tourist attractions such as Cortona, Arezzo, Gubbio, Assisi and Perugia. Siena is just one hour and a half away. This beautiful Italian villa is also ideal for golfers with the splendid Antognolla Golf club 30minutes away. excellent We rented the house Casa Lazzari in June 2011 and stayed there for 2 weeks. It was a fantastic experience, beautifull house, splendid scenery and what a view. We spend several evenings listing to classical music and enjoying the sunset over the Umbrian hills. We had a great service from the agency on site, the people were very helpfull and friendly, also quick to react on some small issues we encountered during our stay. It is very isolated and we enjoyed our privacy Just one slight comment, since the villa was closed before us the pool hadn't had the time to warm up prpperly, as a consequence the first week it was rather chilly If there was one small complaint it was related to the wireless connection in the house. It didn4t work in the beginning and the on-site people were very helpfull in trying to make it work. Nevertheless even during our stqy it was very unstable and disconnected often. We had ware issues on the first day, apparentlw the poolboy emptied the cisterna. I have to say that Natalia was EXYEREMELY helpfull and solved the problem quickly. Nothing than appraisal for the staff on site, the helped a lot |
