Located only 50 minutes drive from Rome, Casa di Poggio is a renovated farmhouse surrounded by a lush garden of 2000 sqm. The villa is separated into 2 parts; the main house and the guest house. Between the two is a paved courtyard with a table which seats 16 and a stone barbeque. The swimming pool with pool house is found only a few metres from the villa, with a pergola immersed in the century-old olive trees. This area extends out into an olive grove of some 3.5 hectares that surrounds the entire property. The villa forms part of a small group of rural houses with an historic church that was built between the 1700s and the 1800s. Today these homes have been restored into residential villas, ideal for those who love the countryside but do not wish to feel isolated. The privacy of Casa di Poggio is guaranteed as the garden is fully enclosed with a high wall. The villa is elegantly furnished, in particular the veranda is equipped with a dining table and lounge area which faces the beautiful panorama of olive groves. The villa boasts a small spa area, built in an old glasshouse, with Jacuzzi, flat TV, massage armchair, sun lamp.Casa di Poggio is ideally located, you can visit one of the many medieval cities such as Alta Sabina, Poggio Catino and Poggio Mirteto. The north-east of Umbria and the south of Tuscany can be reached within a one and a half to two hours drive.

Had a fantastic week in Casa di Poggio. There are enough activities here to participate an olympics! The kids really enjoyed the pool and the new outdoor cinema. Really enjoyed this and nearby Poggio Catino and Poggio Mirteto. A great holiday. Thanks.
We had a most enjoyable stay at Casa Di Poggio and were able to relax whilst keeping the whole family entertained.
Our host, Mondino, did all that he could to accommodate our needs and the house is well equipped to meet the needs of an active family. He seemed to have thought of everything! We especially enjoyed the outdoor cinema and spa!
Although the surrounding countryside is very attractive we found little of interest within close proximity. There is more to see and do if you are prepared to travel further afield.
Our only criticism would be that the location map on Home in Italy leads you to believe that the property is in Anzio which of course it is not!
We had therefore understood that we were close to the beach when in fact we were some considerable way away.
Thanks. Wonderful villa and most gracious and charming owner who finally managed to get the hot water going!
The area has few restaurants open in mid September but otherwise excellent location !
Great villa with excellent facilities on site, especially the games facilities for the children. Little to complain about, although a few more fans in some of the non a/c rooms, particularly upstairs would have helped cool the villa. Only downside to the location is that the towns and villages in the immediate vicinity offer little by way of restaurants or tourist attractions but it is a good base if you are happy to travel an hour or so to find areas that offer more attractions such as Rome, Rieti, Orvieto etc.
We had a very nice time in Italy and Casa di Poggio. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and all the games, which were just the right thing for our family. We really did enjoy the place and the games galore are just fantastic.

A truly wonderful holiday – everyone really enjoyed the houses, esp San Valentino. Lynda, my wife, is posting the feedback forms to you.
Many, many thanks for great organisation – a very painless process.
