Only a 25-30 minute walk from Cisternino (8 minutes driving), yet immersed in greenery, Terrabona enjoys the tranquillity of the countryside that surrounds it, with other trulli scattered amongst vineyards and olive groves visible in the distance. The trullo was expertly restored in 2004, in an architectural project which preserved the original structure of the trullo and combined it with the functionality and comfort of a modern home. Inside, white rooms furnished with select pieces of furniture accentuate the traditional cone-shaped ceilings. From the kitchen and the sitting room, there is direct access to the pergola, which is equipped with a convenient built-in barbecue with ample work surfaces and a table which seats 6. On the other side of the house is another pergola with a built-in double sofa that looks out on the most panoramic side of the villa. The house is surrounded by a garden on three sides, in which there is a small swimming pool with a waterfall and a covered parking area it is completely enclosed by a stone wall. Terrabona is in the heart of the Valle d’Itria, nicknamed Trulliland, only 10 minutes from Ostuni, Martina Franca and Locorotondo.

opinion excellent

We had a great time, during our 5 week stay at Villa Terrabona, due to the accessibility to Cisternino by car - around 8 minutes. It is a 25 - 30 minute walk on an unpaved road, and the road is not lit at night, so walking into town is not recommended especially at night.We loved staying near Cisternino, due to the friendliness of the locals, and the services provided in the town.
Andy the key holder was fantastic - he is "on the ball", personable and efficient at fixing things.
The living area is small but good for 4 people. I would not recommend the house for 6 adults, unless the weather is perfect, when 6 people can live easily outdoors.
The master bedroom has a small en-suite accessed by a steep step, so not ideal for those who have issues with their mobility.
The main bathroom is as photographed and very comfortable. It services the 2 other bedrooms which are mirror images of each other. It should be noted that the beds run from wall to wall, so that one person has to crawl over the other. Once again not ideal for those who have issues with their mobility.
The gardens are well tended, there is plenty of outdoor furniture, and the cushions in the outdoor sitting areas are very clean. In fact the whole property was very clean and well looked after.

We spent the second week of our Honeymoon at Terrabona and had a really wonderful time!
The trullo was delightful in every way; spacious, clean ans excellent facilities.
We especially enjoyed lazing in the veranda in the evenings enjoying the stunning views across the countryside, and splashing around in the lovely little pool to cool down during the day.

2 small issues;
1) beware the narrow, stony and rather treacherous road on the approach to the trullo, you'll need to drive carefully.
2) whilst there's a good selection of DVDs, the TV isn't connected to a dish so receives no signal. Not usually an issue, but the European Championships were on and I missed some big matches!

Apart from these 2 small issues, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend a stay here to anyone.

Dear Sonia
Just a quick email to say we had a lovely time at Terrabona and highly recommend it. Apart from having no luggage on arrival to Italy and also on arrival home we had a great time and enjoyed the sun. We will certainly look at booking with you again.
Thank you for your assistance.

Tina, Gavin & children.
