With a commanding panoramic view over the tranquil rolling countryside, Villa Ada has a truly special quality about it. Only a stone’s throw from the Tuscan border, it peers down over the famous Tuscan landscape from its perch on the top of a hill, offering luxury in an exceptional setting. It comprises a large stone farmhouse (main villa) and its annex (guest house) just 40 metres away. Each house has its own driveway and parking area. The swimming pool is situated on a raised terrace next to the villa, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. A pretty pergola alongside it offers welcome shade in the heat, as well as a table so you can enjoy a drink whilst watching the sun setting over the dramatic scenery. A shared hard tennis court located in an exclusive club nearby can be used by Villa Ada guests, only 3 minutes away by car, or 7 minutes on foot along a pretty path. Set in a large garden, the main villa has an attractive pergola entwined in climbing roses, shading a large dining table which can comfortably accommodate 14 people. With stunning views and a superbly peaceful location, it makes for a very inviting place to dine. There is also a well-equipped BBQ, and several comfortable sun-loungers dotted about the garden to allow you to unwind and soak up the delightful atmosphere. A well-equipped kitchen with an American-style fridge leads out onto the pergola, making it convenient to eat outside. Large picture windows in the living areas of both houses maximise the enjoyment of the rolling Umbrian hills, the owners having taken their inspiration from the spectacular vistas all around, and the regular dramatic sunsets on offer. They have carefully restored both properties to the same high standard, with attractive décor throughout and using prestigious materials: antique doors, 18th Century oak-beamed ceilings, stone fireplaces and old terracotta floors. The property has been tastefully yet comfortably furnished with some beautiful antiques and quality furnishings. This villa is perfect for two families sharing a holiday together, whilst allowing each a good level of privacy. The smaller house also has a pergola with a table suitable for 6, perfect for an al fresco breakfast. excellent Villa Ada exceeded all of our expectations - the villas themselves, the location, the stunning panoramas, and the convenience to the treasures of Umbria and Tuscany were spectacular. We were able to shop the local markets for fresh produce, and enjoyed preparing meals then dined beneath the pergola every day. The owner was available and responsive to our needs, which were few since the property is very well maintained and equipped. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer -we will remember fondly our visit to this magical place, and long for our return someday - Mille grazie - |

excellent Dear Monina, Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the Villa Ada. Both properties were beautiful, with stunning surroundings and amazing views. The weather was fantastic all week so everybody made great use of the pool. We visited Gubbio, Assisi and the Lake which were also all beautiful places. The wine tasting proved slightly harder to arrange than we had expected so we only went to the local one once, which was a shame. I will fill in the questionnaire and fax it to you. It was an amazing week and we would recommend it to anyone. The property was Fantastic! Once again, kind regards and many thanks for all your help with our trip. |

excellent I stayed here last year with friends who had rented this villa and so when I planned to take a group of friends and my family, I already knew which villa I wanted. But it was so good to find that this trip was even better than the one before! The villa was in great shape and we were introduced to this couple who has opened a small restaurant just down the hill from the villa. The food was superb! And they also catered to the villa. They provided our welcome dinner. Everyone had a great time and the weather was perfect! We will all be happy to recommend this villa to family and friends. |

excellent 8 of us stayed in Ada for a week at the end of September 2011. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. What a beautiful Villa with a great pool and gardens. Its only a short drive to the nearest good sized town and the local restaurant was really good. Everybody was very nice and extremely help and I would recommend it highly. |

excellent We just returned from a glorious 2 week stay at Villa Ada. We rented both the main and guest villa and they were both equally lovely. We were a group of 14 people (adults and children) and the layout was perfect for our group. The grounds are impeccable and well cared for as are the properties. We loved the privacy of the villa yet it was easy to get to all of the towns we wanted to visit during our stay. Dinnners under the pergola with beautiful views in every direction were some of my favorite moments. We arranged for a local cook (Pino) to come to the villa a few times and it was wonderful! We are already starting to think about our next trip to Italy and would most definatlye book through Home in Italy. |
