Umbria is the heart and soul of Italy and it is just now being discovered by travellers. The area is also well known for the quality of its Umbrian villas. Staying in a luxury villa in Umbria will give you the possibility to visit Tuscany as well, the region that borders on Umbria. The area is also considered a great gastronomic point, with loads of specialities that can be tasted in the typical restaurants and trattorias of the Umbria region.

In the northern part of Umbria you can find the beautiful medieval towns of Gubbio, Montone, Preggio, Umbertide and just across the Umbrian border you will find Cortona in Tuscany. Every year in July, Perugia hosts the Umbria Jazz Festival, one of the most important jazz festivals in the world. The entire historical centre becomes a melting pot of music, history and architecture. Deruta is a town worth visiting, close to Perugia and renowned for its exquisite hand painted ceramics which are exported worldwide.

In southern Umbria you can find Todi, with the splendid Piazza del Popolo and the 12th-16th century cathedral, the town centre is very close from our Umbrian villas: villa Casa Degli Artisti, villa Felò, villa La Stalla, villa Manoquercia, villa Poggio Del Cerro, villa Torretta, villa Troscione, Villa Di Vibio and Villa Monti and villa Casale Cerfoglio.
Quite close to Todi, you can find another jewel of Umbria, the medieval town Orvieto, which rises up a hilltop with its unique gothic cathedral.
