Monterello is a true celebration of nature, peace, modern design and creativity. A peasant house until 1970, this luxury villa was completely renovated and transformed into a luxury retreat in 2016.
The renovation project aimed to create a coexistence of an ancient entity and a contemporary livability: this modern touch, with respecting the old, is absolutely unique in Umbria. The east and west façades have been rebuilt using local stones and respecting the original designs while the south and north parts of the building have been created using big windows in an open dialogue between the indoor and the outdoor. The result is a modern reconstruction of an old farmhouse within a modern and airy structure sensitively integrated into the landscape and beautifully detailed and appointed.
The property has 3 bedrooms on the first floor of the main villa and 2 independent bedrooms accessible directly from the court. The central part of the house is the welcoming kitchen where it is a real joy to cook and eat with family and friends. The living room, with its big fireplace and modern décor, is the ideal place to relax in total armory with the nature which seems to enter from the huge windows.
