Villa San Giacomo is a historic luxury Italian villa for rent offering breathtaking views over the picturesque town of Positano and the Mediterranean Sea. Beautifully situated on a hillside, approximately 150 steps from the street level or reachable by a public elevator connecting the street to the gate, Villa San Giacomo is the ideal venue for special events as well as the perfect base to enjoy an authentic Italian holiday on the Amalfi coast.
The private palazzo was commissioned by a rich merchant in the 18th century to show off his wealth, and it is decorated in Baroque style, featuring meticulously selected works of art, boldly patterned fabrics, frescoed ceilings, and detailed tiling.
Villa San Giacomo has preserved the grandeur of its past while offering every possible modern amenity for a comfortable and unforgettable stay.
The exteriors present carefully manicured gardens, fragrant citrus groves, and outdoor terraces to relax while enjoying the panoramic view. The glorious infinity pool is the perfect spot to cool off after a day in the sun.
The villa features a fully-equipped kitchen to prepare authentic Italian meals, including pizza in the pizza oven, and a dining area with statues, paintings and antique furnishings. Villa San Giacomo can accommodate up to 24 guests in twelve bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms. Eight of the bedrooms also have access to terraces that allow guests to take in the view from their own room.
From the villa, the beautiful town of Positano is reachable within walking distance. In Positano, guests will find unique shops, restaurants where to sample delicious local dishes, and bars that stay open long into the night. For those loving outdoor activities, the villa is close to the “Path of the Gods”, the most famous hiking trail carved into the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, from where it is possible to enjoy incredible views over the bay of Salerno and the Sirenuse Islands.

the villa can be accessed walking uphill from the main road for about 400m/0,24 miles and climbing 150 steps up or by a public elevator located on the street level. Small pets allowed upon request. The bedrooms on the lower ground floor are approximately 15m2 each. The bedrooms on the first floor are approximately 20m2 each. Possibility to add up to 3 beds at an extra cost. The family suite on the second floor is approximately 40m2. The villa does not have a private parking space. The washing machine and dishwasher, and all the equipment of the house can only be used by the staff of the villa.
