Chalet Proust, available for rent in the exclusive Mont d’Arbois area of Megève, is a luxury ski holiday rental perfect for an unforgettable vacation in the French Alps. This charming retreat in the mountains is spread across a main chalet and a guest house, boasting a total of eight bedrooms. This makes it an ideal choice for a large family or a group of friends travelling together.
The main chalet is designed around a central modern staircase that connects its four floors. The entrance hall is on the ground floor, though guests can also access the property directly from the garage on the lower ground floor. This lower ground floor houses a ski room with boot warmers, a beautiful cinema room perfect for cosy nights in, a massage room to recharge after snow activities, and three double bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. These three bedrooms, lacking windows, might be more suitable for children or staff.
On the ground floor, guests will discover some of Chalet Proust’s true gems. The stunning swimming pool can easily be converted into a dance floor for fun-filled nights. Adjacent to the pool is a heated Jacuzzi, and a few steps up is a cosy bar and lounge area. This floor also features a sauna with its own shower room and two additional en suite bedrooms. One of these is the gorgeous master bedroom, complete with a fireplace and dressing room. Both bedrooms on this floor offer beautiful mountain views and direct outdoor access.
The first floor is dedicated to communal areas, featuring an incredible open space with large windows that flood the room with natural light and provide stunning views of the snowy peaks. The living room, adorned with modern and colourful artwork, has a large, semi-circular sofa in front of a fireplace, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day on the slopes. A smaller sofa is nestled in a quiet corner with a TV, offering a more private spot to relax. The dining room, with its gorgeous wooden table along a floor-to-ceiling window, is separated from the kitchen by an island with stools, a great spot for a coffee break. French windows on this floor open to an outdoor balcony, where guests will find an external kitchen with a BBQ.
The top and final floor houses two additional en suite bedrooms, one of which includes a private balcony, offering further privacy and comfort for guests.
The guest house of Chalet Proust, located a short walk from the main chalet, offers an additional layer of privacy, as it is a small house on its own complete with a small kitchen, living area and en suite master bedroom.

Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 do not have any windows and are equipped with a skylight. Bedroom 7 does not have any windows and is equipped with a roof window. The toilet in bedroom 4 and bedroom 8 is separated from the bathroom. The ground floor of the guest house is used by the chalet staff, however privacy is guaranteed.
