An artistic masterpiece and a truly unique opportunity to experience the ultimate luxury vacation on Lake Como, Villa Antonietta is a historical regale property recently brought back to its splendour. This lakefront holiday home is available for weekly rentals or for a minimum stay of three nights and is the ideal venue for the celebration of weddings or other important and special events.
Built by the Duchess of Carretto in the 16th century, this magnificent residence was redesigned in the neoclassical style in the second half of the 18th century by the Dukes of Serbelloni. The noble family gave the villa its harmonious appearance, elegantly balancing the architecture, the lush Italian garden, and the all-encompassing tranquillity of the lake. Since then, Villa Antonietta has been considered one of the most beautiful villas on Lake Como. Today this marvellous residence, the patrimony of Italian art and for centuries a private treasure of one of the noblest families in Lombardy opens its doors to its discerning guests looking to experience its uniqueness, beauty and art collection.
Approaching the villa by water, you will find yourself in front of a spectacular grey stone mooring with a double staircase leading up to the large cast-iron gate. Walk through the wonderful Italian garden and get inside the villa to be immersed in opulent halls and precious art collections. The fine frescoes adorning the main hall of the piano nobile, accessed by the scalone d’onore, the great staircase, are the work of Francesco Conegliani, a pupil at Tiepolo’s workshop in Milan.
The villa’s interiors are designed by stucco artist Muzio Canzio. Fine furniture and valuable art pieces create the incomparable majestic atmosphere giving its guests the opportunity to experience the magic of Lake Como in the opulent style that has enchanted the most illustrious travellers in the world for over three centuries.
The property comes with its staff, providing maid service and housekeeping every day, breakfast service and a chef at every day’s disposal to ensure a luxurious and relaxing stay at the villa. The villa offers the privacy, comfort and elegance of an aristocratic residence, but with the benefit of having access to all the facilities of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, such as the spa or tennis court, which can be reached via private water transfers.
Entering Villa Antonietta means entering into the history of art, architecture and aristocratic living knowledge. Take a step back in time to regal luxury in Villa Antonietta and get pampered by top-quality service and comfort.
