Surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees, and cultivated fields, this 5-bedroom property transformed into a family villa for rental in Puglia, is set in the beautiful countryside of the Salento area. The rugged Italian landscape has a distinct vacation vibe and Salento represents the concept at its best: its sandy beaches and pristine waters, characteristic Apulian villages situated in the peaceful countryside. Villa Gastone is at a five-minute drive from Martano, a village with small trattorias offering gorgeous food and grocery shops.
The villa has spacious rooms, carefully restored conserving its history, saving as mush as possible of the original stoned and ceiling structure, as in the past it was a working masseria. Today it offers large living areas, comfortable bedrooms, each equipped with air conditioning, TV, a small fridge and a safe. The infinity pool has an appreciated hydro massage area. The villa can host up to thirteen guests, divided into five bedrooms and three additional single beds.
One destination not to be missed in the area of Gastone is Otranto, on a twenty-minute distance by car. Otranto is a lovely seaside town with a charming historic center and a harbor. On hot summer days, everyone goes to one of the beach clubs along the coast, an area which is also known as the Maldives of Salento. Boat excursions can be organized upon request, in order to explore the various enchanting coves of the Salento coast.
