Villa Rinascimento is a magnificent top luxury Renaissance villa, originally commissioned by the marquess NiccoloÌ Antinori in the 15th century. Finely restored, this deluxe traditional villa is available for weekly rentals. It sits at the end of a driveway lined with cypress trees on the southern hills of Florence, just ten minutes from the city centre.
Over the centuries it has undergone numerous improvements and renovation work. Its overall Renaissance character and details set it apart from any other villa in its category.
The layout of Villa Rinascimento is typical of aristocratic Renaissance villas. It is centered around a paved courtyard, surrounded by formal gardens and set in a productive agricultural landscape.
The villa itself measures 1000 square meters and sleeps up to fourteen guests in seven bedrooms. The two gardens on either side total of 1200 square meters. And an eleven-hectare park, including a lake, surrounds the property.
Villa Rinascimento belongs to the Colomboli family. Also known as Rossi D’Oltrarno this Florentine family figures in archival records since 1156.
In 1937 the villa is sold to the Küchel family. They embark on modernising the villa, adding an internal elevator.
Following the Allied Forces’ success in pushing back the German line, in 1944 the villa is requisitioned and used by American officers as their quarters.
In 1958 Villa Rinascimento is bought by Earnst and Jean Boissevain.
Restoration and maintenance works carried out in 2004 on the villa give it its current appearance.

a fenced in garden of 1200m2 (divided on two sides) and an 11 hectare shared park, including a lake where guests can fish if requested and a lovely spacious courtyard. At the swimming pool (10 steps down from courtyard) there is another bathroom and a covered dining area with table for 12 people.

the fireplaces at the villa can be used by the guests. Note that the temperature inside the property will be maximum 23 degrees. Bedroom number 5,6 and 7 can all be connected by a door upon request. Guests will have a welcome buffet upon arrival. Guard living in a separate area under the swimming pool level. It could be possible to hear street noise in the far distance while being in the garden. Smoking villa. There are 3 dogs on the premises.
