Ten minutes west from Lucca, the rustic-elegant style of this charming 5-bedroom holiday villa for rent in Tuscany evokes an enveloping atmosphere in which times seems to have stood still on objects and furniture, showing signs of a past of a quiet rural life. But behind this apparent simplicity, villa Dalia offers a welcoming style to experience a genuine Italian vacation in a true Tuscan farmhouse.
The villa is a stone built building from the 1800s, completely renovated in 2000 with up-to-date amenities and beautiful en suite bathrooms with double showers. There are antique tiles on the floors, wooden beams on the ceilings and old fireplaces. The villa is surrounded by a private park lined with walls of evergreen hedges and part of a larger property of sixteen hectares of olive trees and vineyards. At the top of the estate stands the villa, which overlooks the valleys for 360 degrees, until you can see the tower of Pisa, during days of clear sky.
Four air-conditioned bedrooms are located on the top two floors. The fifth air-conditioned bedroom is located on the ground floor. The ground floor has four large stable doors opening out to the pergolas. These large rooms flow one into the other and include the kitchen, the living room, and the dining room. The outdoor pergolas are easily accessible dining and seating areas and are covered with grapevines. There is also a pizza oven as well as an outdoor stone BBQ. The architecture, both inside and outside, is truly beautiful. Villa Dalia is proud to have an authentic, renowned, Tuscan cook named Anna. Villa Dalia is equipped with a wifi internet connection, two flat screen cable televisions, two DVD players (European and American), stereo surround sound in the living room and a state of the art security system.

Staff in the villa: Anna was very helpful and caring! She was like an aunt to us! Her cooking was excellent! She has been working in the house
for many years, so she gives the reassurance that everything is under control and will be well taken care of. She would respond to any of our wishes.
She was very pleasant and always smiling. We speak Italian, so we could communicate well with her. However, it could be a challenge for
non-Italian-speaking guests.
Cleanliness: The house was very clean. However, there was a huge infestation issue that really disrupted our pleasurable stay and created great inconvenience especially during the nights.

The location was ideal! Lucca is a charming city that offers everything: culture, shopping, dining. The house offered also access to all main services in San Macario area, although it felt like it was in hidden in a remote forest area.
Everything would have been perfect if we did not have the serious infestation issue. Although we appreciated your actions to find a solution and organize a disinfestation and also the owner's
willingness to get in touch with us and offer alternatives."

"Dalia was just stunning. Our stay the last week of October was perfect weather-wise. Following a swim in the pool, peering through the olive groves and hilltop vistas from the arbored patio was the perfect way to start and end our Tuscan days. The staff, especially chef Anna and her team of Victoria and Fernando, were a highlight. The wood burning oven produced two pizza nights and the best steaks ever—why eat out? We didn’t! The only time we visited the local restaurants was following our bicycle tours, which are superb in this area! While we did some day trips—Florence and Cinque Terre—our next visit will be more about using the villa as a base.”
