Located more or less ten kilometres from Montalcino, a town which became famous for the ‘Brunello’ wine, the area is a perfect spot for wine lovers. Thanks to the many prestigious wineries in the area, it is easily possible to enjoy visits as well as delectable wine tastings. Immersed in the quiet countryside, the villa offers a magnificent view of the Val d’ Orcia and the Crete Senesi. On only a five-minute drive, you can find the well known Castello Banfi, where guests of the villa can visit the wine cellars and hamlets and enjoy their great wine and taste balsamic vinegar, have lunch or dinner in one of their excellent restaurants.
Lavacchio is a large farmhouse surrounded by a verdant orchard, located in amazingly beautiful countryside. Once an abandoned farmhouse, Lavacchio has lost none of its rural simplicity. The property consists of a stone built main villa and a guest house. Lavacchio is characterized by spacious sitting areas and particularly welcoming environments. The owner, an expert in art and interior design has chosen to mix scale and shape, colour and texture in order to create a harmonious atmosphere demonstrating perfect taste. All the bedrooms on the first floor of the main villa are equipped with air conditioning and if needed, there are two portable units available upon request, in order to make this villa comfortable also during the warmest day of the summer.
During your stay at Lavacchio, you can visit the most beautiful area of Tuscany, and have day trips to the famous villages and towns nearby, such as Pienza, San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni, Arezzo, Cortona and Florence.
