We have just spent 4 weeks at Villa Doride in San Casciano die Bagni for the second month of August, last year being the first stay. We loved the villa and the location and had a wonderful time. We cooked ALL our dinners in the great kitchen. We spent some time every day in the pool. The weather was extremely warm the second two weeks so we didn’t use the outdoor living room quite as much. In general the house was wonderful and we would certainly recommend it. There were several things we noticed this year. The towels weren’t changed as often as last year which was certainly not a big deal but was noticeable to all of us. Also, last summer Camilla was the contact person and was terrific. This year we got a notice from your office a few weeks before we travelled that Elizabeth would be the new contact person. When we arrived it turned out Elizabeth was no longer the contact person. The owner’s daughter who lives in Milan but was here visiting was the new contact while she was here. She was very nice but not the same attention was paid as previously. I think Francesca (her name) was filling in but wasn’t doing this as a “job.” So I would say this was noticeable as when there were any issues there wasn’t as prompt a response. I don’t fault Francesca, it was just confusing as things weren’t handled as smoothly.

All that being said, we had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend the villa. We all discussed this and all felt it was great but that it’s expensive and so some of the issues should have gotten more attention. I think not having a trained contact person on hand would have been preferable. Thanks too much. We would definitely use your agency again. Best regards, Mary Ann Lomonaco

"We LOVED Doride. We would recommend it to anyone who wants excellent service, comfortable bedrooms, wonderful housekeepers, gorgeous views.
The pool and the outdoor living/dining room were where we spent most of our time, as well as the fabulous kitchen. We cooked ALL our dinners and breakfasts there and the kitchen was really terrific. We have rented houses in Italy for MANY years and this is by far the bet rental we have had. The service before was very good and prompt. While on the trip there were several minor issues and Camilla and the owner addressed them immediately. The villa was about 1 Km from San Casciano die Bagni and we all loved the town and becoming part of it. We rented the villa for 4 weeks with our children and grandchildren visiting for two weeks at a time. They have all been with us soon many Italian vacation rentals and all agreed this was the best in all respects. I would rate the house as Excellent. I would rate Home in Italy as excellent. Regarding check in day I personally would have liked a bit more flexibility of days to check in etc. but this wasn’t a major deal. Most rentals over the years have been Saturday to Saturday. I will plan to review this rental and your company soon Google. I would also like to say I don’t always write in such positive ways. This rental was unusual in all respects. And my family who ranged in age from 6 to 81 all felt the same. My son in law said this has spoiled us for any further rentals because it was so perfect. That’s a quote. The total “package” of your help beforehand in answering all my questions, regarding types of showers, placement of bedrooms, steps to the pool, kitchen layouts……all off my questions were answered patiently and honestly. So…….I would recommend you to anyone. So many thanks to you all. And as I said I will write this soon google too. Comments: We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Doride. We appreciate the support that booking through an agency provides. The on site property manager, Camilla was so very helpful in making restaurant reservations and helping with activity ideas. We especially liked the archaeological tour of the important work being done in San Casciano. The housekeeper, Deisy, was also beyond wonderful. She was on time, did a great job and was fun to talk to."
