With a stunning panoramic view over the Tiber valley, this Italian luxury villa rental lies in Umbria, just a few steps away from Tuscany, in the heart of the medieval hamlet of Santa Maria Tiberina. La Santa is an old palace that was originally part of the protective walls of this unique village at 700m above sea level, where a community of about a thousand people live in a peaceful atmosphere.
The lovely house offers a breathtaking panorama stretching as far away to the Apennines in the distance, some eighty kilometres away. The private small garden created within the antique walls, the splash pool, and the furnished terrace, make the house so pleasant to stay in during the warm season.
La Santa has been tastefully renovated with a sense of glamour, great attention to detail, and a good sense of colours. Antique furniture perfectly mixes with the ultimate appliances, creating a unique atmosphere within walking distance from all the amenities.
The house is on four floors in total: two floors are dedicated to bedrooms and two floors to entertaining (dining, study, TV room, lounges, library and kitchens). The floors are connected by an impressively large, central stone staircase, which is an architectural jewel in itself with its original stone floors.
While entering the home, your attention will be captured by the six-metre stunning centrepiece light sculpture cascading through the stairwell.
La Santa features five double bedrooms including four en suites which can accommodate up to ten guests.
Five kilometres away there is Trestina, another village where to find more shops.

the house is in the village’s city centre, possibility to have neighbours, but privacy is guaranteed: the outdoor pool area is enclosed with beautiful stone walls with amazing views out to the countryside in total privacy. Due to the presence of many stairs, the villa is not suitable for disabled people. Non-smoking villa, no pets allowed. The pool is open from the first Saturday of June until the last Saturday of September.
