What a view from this luxury Italian villa for rent! Mela Rosata offers sweeping views as this charming vacation rental home overlooks almost the entire Trasimeno lake, the largest lake of Umbria famous for its ever-changing colours during the day and for the unforgettable sunsets.
Rolling hills surrounding the huge lake are dotted with thousands of olive trees. Medieval villages appear like pearls on top of the higher hills, while others border the shores of the lake.
This idyllic atmosphere is one of the best qualities of villa Mela Rosata. Composed of a main villa and a guest house, the property can comfortably host up to eight guests in its four bedrooms all equipped with air conditioning.
The villa boasts different spots for enjoying pleasant meals outdoors. It is possible to choose between three different charming furnished pergolas: one of them is perfect for breakfast, conveniently located in front of the main house. The second pergola is even more spacious and charming. It is perfect for al fresco dining while enjoying spectacular views of the lake. On the ground floor, there is an open space with a kitchen area, a table and a TV area.
The bedrooms on the first floor can be reached by an external staircase only.
The structure of the main villa, with its old stone walls and its shape, shows evidence of its original use as a watch-tower centuries before being a farmhouse during the end of the eighteenth century.
The villa is easily reachable from the motorway junction Bettolle-Perugia.
From Mela Rosata the towns of Perugia, Arezzo, Cortona, and Assisi are a must-visit, all located within an easy drive from the villa.
There are plenty of other sites of interest around the lake such as Castiglione del Lago, located on the opposite side of the lake. This charming little village is perfect to experience the authenticity of Italian living with its little restaurants, fine local food shops, and its impressive medieval fortress dominating the lake.
If you plan your holiday in July and are a fan of blues, it will be a special occasion to participate in a concert within the walls of this thirteenth-century fortress of this village.
Food shops and the nearest supermarket are at four kilometres, while the nearest restaurant is at two kilometres. Other restaurants can be reached within a ten-minute drive.
