Within a private 24-acre park, this elegant Italian villa with a private heated pool, formerly a winery, is today a luxury holiday home for rent in Sicily, furnished to the standards of the contemporary style and comforts. In total tranquillity, the villa is built into the slope of a hillside and is immersed in the green of the park in a dominant position. From here it is possible to admire the beautiful Sicilian valleys in the distance.
In correspondence with the fully equipped kitchen perfect for cooking with creativity, the pergola overlooks the most panoramic side. The pergola offers a large wood and charcoal stone built BBQ, a dining table for 12 guests and modern sofas for total relaxation.
The heated swimming pool is next to the villa with a shallow end area suitable for children. At about a hundred meters from the villa, you can find a contemporary-style guest house which is composed of three double bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. The guest house also features a porch. The surrounding private park allows long beautiful walks where you can admire the hundred different species of trees and plants.
Girona has a perfect location to discover the protected treasures of the UNESCO Baroque towns in the South-East of Sicily; Caltagirone, Modica, Noto, Ibla, Piazza Armerina.
Sicily is the place to go to for those looking for culture and nature. It has long been a crucible of Mediterranean culture, and today it is a fascinating combination of Greek temples, Arab ceramics, Norman churches and Baroque palazzos. But it also has natural wonders, from the craters of Mount Etna to the still relatively undiscovered beaches of the southern coast.

"Like all the other reviews, this Villa exceeded all our expectations. The staff went out of her way to help us plan the perfect trip to Sicily. The kitchen was very well equipped which meant we could could have our own BBQ and experiment with local fresh food. The coffee machine worked perfectly which kept all the caffeine addicts happy! The outdoor space is wonderful at all hours of the day. The view is truly stunning, with no noise from roads or passing cars. We had a chef and waiter prepare a meal one evening. The service was incredible and each dish was explained fully along the way. I’ll be recommending this villa to family and friends!"

"We enjoyed a relaxing 2 week stay at Villa Girona. The house is elegant and stylish but also functional and comfortable; we quickly felt at home. While we enjoyed the indoor space, we spent most of our time on the terrace and by the pool admiring the view and basking in the quiet of the countryside. While we spent a good deal of time just enjoying the villa, we also enjoyed getting to know Caltagirone, which is a few minutes’ drive away. We also enjoyed day trips to Noto, Siracusa, Catania and Taormina, each under a 2-hour drive from Villa Girona and well worth a visit. The staff live up to their super status. Their attention to detail enhanced our experience—for example, the bathrooms were stocked with toiletries and the kitchen is equipped with all the cooking equipment you could ever need. They are attentive, responsive and helpful, and organized some of our favorite experiences of our trip: a tour and tasting at the local Judeka winery (a must visit! The Frabianco is especially lovely) and two dinners prepared at home by chef Carmelo (who is extremely talented and a lovely person. Don’t leave Sicily without trying his Parmagiana di Melanzane!). Aldo’s helpfulness made our stay. He went out of his way to help us on multiple occasions, was very friendly and kept the house sparklingly clean. Thanks to the staff and Home In Italy for a memorable holiday! Don’t hesitate to book a stay at Villa Girona."
