Villa Camelie is an independent luxury holiday home for rent with private pool in Tuscany only about a 40-minute drive to Florence downtown. It is part of Il Borgo, an estate of a thousand hectares, composed of five residences which have all undergone a careful renovation bringing charm and maximum comfort to the old areas of the original farm. The residential part, a convent dating back to the late XVII century and subsequently transformed into a farm, is surrounded by extensive olive groves, bordering on woodlands, also part of the property, characterized by the presence of water springs and varied flora and fauna.
Villa Camelie is situated in the Valdarno, one of the most beautiful and historically important areas of Tuscany at about 35 kilometers from Florence.
Among the residences of Il Borgo, Camelie is the only independent villa with private garden and private pool, overlooking the park and olive groves, while others have been built from the pre-existing productive and living structures overlooking the square. What makes Camelie peculiar is that it offers many advantages to discerning travellers interested in experiencing art, history, culture in the heart of Tuscany while feeling not too secluded. In addition to Florence, the charming towns of Arezzo and Siena are also located within an easy reach and are worth a visit!
From the square of the ancient hamlet of Il Borgo, a wrought iron gate between two grey stone columns marks the entrance to the private park of the villa.
On the ground floor is the main entrance, a large sitting room with a fireplace, a dining room, the kitchen and a bedroom with a bathroom of travertine from Rapolano.
A stone staircase leads to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, each with private bathroom, facing onto the garden.
The antique furniture and family pictures furnish the interior spaces endowing the place with the charm of ancient villas. The villa, with its own central heating, all modern comforts and a private swimming pool, can be lived in all the year-round. A porch with wooden trusses around the swimming pool gives the place the atmosphere of ancient countryside springs.
