Only seven kilometres from the famous wine town of Montepulciano lies Vignola, a 16th-century stone-made large farmhouse converted into a traditional luxury villa for rent.
Immersed in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, the large garden is nestled between wood, with a vista of silver olive groves that reveals graceful statues.
Vignola has been turned into a holiday home of refined charm that retains its atmosphere of informal welcome. During the stay, guests can enjoy authentic Tuscan experiences such as private wine tastings, cooking classes with local chefs, and guided tours through nearby vineyards and olive groves.
The splendid pool is located in the sunniest and most open spot of the property; it is the ideal place to relax in an atmosphere that is typically Tuscan.
There are 2 floors of living quarters and plenty of space both inside and out.
The first floor is accessible from external stairs via a loggia and also from internal stairs; it has a spacious reading room (originally the kitchen of the farmhouse), with a large and evocative fireplace. The original bedrooms now form the two junior suites, and the 2 double rooms were originally the "vinsantaia" (where vin santo grapes were dried) and the storerooms of the farm.
Going down the stairs, built to connect the two floors, we come to two beautiful suites (originally the stables), laundry, and a double bedroom (originally the old cellar). The big living room is furnished with modern sofas and lit by two large windows that capture the lovely garden outside.
Finally, the original old tool shed has today been converted into a bright and modern kitchen, with a wonderful arch connecting to a comfortable and spacious dining room. The dining room is cobbled with original Roman paving stones, discovered during the restoration work.
At Vignola, every room tells a story. The furnishings and decoration have been carefully chosen to give each one its own unique character. All the beds are superior king-size, with bedsteads of handcrafted metal. The traditional ceilings of brick and wood beams have been preserved and the floors are of wood planks. Antique sofas are covered in rich, luminous fabrics, and natural linens create a wonderful play of light in the warm Tuscan sun.
Each room has its own bathroom, with an intriguing blend of the old and the new. Modern washbasins rest on 19th-century stands and liberty-style lamps illuminate the floors of Etruscan clay tiles.
Perched on a hill and nestled between woods, olive groves, and splendid countryside, Vignola is only 800 metres, walking distance to a charming village in the heart of southern Tuscany where a variety of shops are available, some of them are open also on Sunday morning.
It is an excellent location from which to explore all of central Italy. The small town of Montepulciano is only five minutes away by car, while the nearest exit from the highway is only 15 minutes away.
The famous wine town of Montepulciano has a beautiful Piazza Grande, where you will find a mix of Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles. In the area, there are various excellent wine cellars to visit and enjoy wine tasting. Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Cortona, Orvieto, Arezzo, San Gimignano are all only an hour away by car. Even Florence and Rome can be easily reached by car or train.

It is possible to accommodate 5 extra guests for a total of 17 guests upon extra charge. External chefs or any other third-party service providers are not allowed at the villa unless prior approval by the owner.
