“I booked Casa Lazzari for a family celebration. We were 8 adults and 1 child. From the booking experience, to the preparation for our trip, to the welcome on arrival, everything was amazing! The house itself has been restored very tastefully and to a very high standard and has enough space for a large group without feeling that you are on top of each other. The gardens, ground and pool are kept very well and are looked after regularly (with no intrusion on guests) and our host Lavinia was very helpful and flexible with any questions or asks that we had. During our week stay we organised a chef for the week, the quality of food was amazing, the chefs were very friendly and it was very reasonably priced, allowing us as a family to really relax and spend quality time together. Casa Lazzari is a bit remote so we would recommend any guests having a car in order to be able to go sight seeing or be able to pick up supplies at a local grocery store. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Lazzari, you will have an amazing stay.”

Would prefer Tuesday or Thursday to avoid travel crush on weekends on the roads and in the airports
Comments: The villa is one of the best, if not the best, that we have ever stayed in.
One general comment - the kitchen appliances could use updating."

How would you rate this property?: location and equipment was top notch. We also highly appreciated the interior design and the multiple possibilities to eat or have drinks and a chat outside but still sheltered in case of rain. The view from the villa and poolside was very enjoyable and soothing.
How would you rate Home in Italy services?: Marianella who handed over the keys and explained how everything worked gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home immediately. She came with a small crew mid-week and changed linens and towels very discreetly."

“We had a lovely stay in this tranquil retreat in Umbria. There was plenty of space for 10 guests to have privacy yet large gathering spaces to accommodate all. Our group of friends and their adult children ranged in ages from late 20's to mid 60's, and everyone was comfortable and content. The villa is a bit removed from any nearby town with grocery stores or restaurant choices, but the little village of Preggio was about 7 km away, and a nice walk for some of the guests. Preggio does have one lovely restaurant in town where we enjoyed a meal one night. Many of the towns in northern Umbria are within an hour's drive, and several were visited. We enjoyed a truffle festival and a Renaissance Fair in 2 of the towns. Activities such as truffle hunting, olive oil tasting and vineyard tours and wine tastings are within easy travel. The wifi was inconsistent, as was cellular access. Both seemed to vary with the time of day. Aside from that nuisance, our trip was a great success!”

"This wonderful villa which is superbly furnished was ideal for our group of 5 couples as Casa Lazzari had ensuites accompanying all our bedrooms, plenty of area to relax and a roomy and well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor eating and entertainment area including the spectacular infinity pool came in very handy on those warm September days and on the balmy nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Lazzari and highly recommend the villa."

"I just wanted to touch base and let you know what an amazing stay we had. We so appreciate the coordination and promptness of everyone that I dealt with at Home in Italy. In addition, Marianella was extremely kind and generous. She purchased necessities for breakfast for our first day as we arrived so late and would not accept money ("my gift" she said). She opened the house for the cooks if we were out for the day and was so accommodating in making our stay pleasurable. As for the cooks, they felt like part of the family. They even brought flowers for the woman in our group celebrating her birthday - it was so sweet. They put so much thought and care into every meal which was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful and elegant. They even brought candles for the table. Again, thank you for a royal treatment."
