No trip to central Italy is complete without a visit to the Tuscan coast, from Livorno to Grosseto, the coastline of the Tuscany region is a coveted destination for tourists from all over the world. The diverse characteristics of the beaches of the Tuscan seaboard are sure to please any taste. Fine sandy beaches alternating with small coves with pristine waters are often bordered by fresh pine forests and wild Mediterranean vegetation. The Tuscan archipelago is the largest marine park in Europe and includes the islands of Giglio, Capraia, Montecristo, Giannutri, Gorgona, Elba, and Pianosa. Elba island
A rugged and rocky coastline, interrupted here and there by beautiful sandy bays. It is very popular among lovers of wild nature and crystal clear seawater. Sansone beach in Portoferraio is a picturesque small strip of white gravel. Other beaches, such as Padulella, Capo Bianco, Cavoli beaches are also worth a visit. The other smaller islands of the Tuscan archipelago, Giannutri, Giglio, Capraia, Montecristo, Gorgona, Pianosa offer splendid sceneries, mostly rocky, perfect for diving into the very clear water.

Located between Follonica and Punta Ala, both about 10 kilometres away, within the Nature Reserve of Bandite di Scarlino. Cala Violina is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Maremma, with clear sand and pristine seawaters immersed in the unspoiled vegetation of the nature reserve. This beach owes its name to the sound of bare feet walking on the tiny grains of sand.
