Wherever you will spend your vacation in a holiday home in Umbria you will find yourself in a place away from chaos and haste, surrounded by greenery, with many villages and small cities to visit, splendid human-sized masterpieces with squares, fortresses, castles, churches, palaces, towers, bell towers, landscapes, festivals and typical products.
Gliding by plane to the Umbrian airport of San Francesco, near Perugia, look through the window and you will see a landscape very similar to a nativity scene. You will admire a landscape covered with vegetation, with many hills whose peaks are often crowned by villages and castles. It is no coincidence that it is called the "Green Heart of Italy" for its geographical position and environmental characteristics.

Travelling from north to south, you will find art, history and places of worship everywhere: museums, churches, hermitages, abbeys, archaeological sites.
Each place has an unmistakable identity, the result of millennia of civilizations that have left dense layers of timeless memories and masterpieces: Umbrians, Etruscans, Sabines and Romans first, and the extraordinary ages of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
The peasant ingenuity has patiently chiselled the environment, reclaiming, tilling and planting olive trees and vineyards which, in addition to producing fine wines and oils, have become the very symbol of this land. The most interesting area to visit wineries and vineyards is certainly that of Montefalco and Bevagna.

There are many proposals and ways to discover Umbria, rich in waters, nature, and outdoor sports. You can experience long walks in uncrowded country lanes, choose the thrill of rafting, or take a mountain bike tour, reaching one of the many medieval villages, enjoy the quiet, and then stop for an aperitif in front of a beautiful landscape. Heading south, you will find a mountainous character, which unravels between sweet peaks dressed in woods, and made unforgettable by the Marmore Falls. From the centre to the north, you will discover large valleys designed by rivers and lakes, the largest of which is Lake Trasimeno.

In Umbria, Assisi is recognized as Unesco world heritage site, the Basilica of San Francesco and the other Franciscan places, and two places belonging to the serial site "The Lombards in Italy. The places of power (568-774 AD)”, which includes the most important Lombard testimonies present on the national territory: the Tempietto del Clitunno and the Basilica of San Salvatore.

In addition to the combination of art and nature, the charm of Umbria is also expressed in the kitchen. Traditional recipes, handed down through generations, celebrate local ingredients like truffles, lentils, and olive oil, offering an authentic taste of the region’s rich cultural heritage.
